January’s Tip of the Month

For those of you who like to grow your own, now is the time to plant up your bare root plants such as hedging, roses and trees. You can also start to sow your sweet pea seeds in a heated propagator.

Our Potato sets are now coming into stock, so you start to plan your crops and start the chitting process.

Your established fruit trees will be ready for a prune and you can cut back to ground level any late fruiting Raspberries.

Divide your herbaceous perennials and plant them either straight into the ground, or if the ground is frozen, into a pot until the weather picks up. Use John Innes no’3 which we have stock here at Woodend Nurseries.
